10 Years of Big Top!
A warm thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday, April 21 to support Atlas, BCAP, and HIV awareness at our 10th annual Big Top: A Springtime Circus Extravaganza! at eTown!
Emcee K-Anne Peppa was once again a class act and kept the crowd in uproarious laughter and thoroughly entertained. Our passionate troupe of 15 performers wowed the audience with eclectic and electrifying acts. Performances ranged from vocal to comedy to hula-hooping, and more. The diversity of performance art emulated the range of energy and messages that performers brought to the stage.
Off stage, our Atlas volunteers dressed up in their circus best to greet and take care of our guests, who collectively brought in 381 pounds of food and household products to support BCAP’s Food Pantries in Boulder and Longmont. Throughout the reception and intermission, the sense of community was felt as people met up with friends, shared reactions to the show’s performances, and talked with Atlas volunteers to learn more about the program.
Atlas was particularly proud to recognize Austin Butterfield, Cacy Britton, and Frank Kogen for their exceptional service to HIV awareness and prevention. Throughout the evening, the audience applause was uplifting and encouraging to everyone in Atlas who dedicates their time, skills, and talents to support HIV services locally.
