SERVICES
Outreach + Education
BCAP staff and volunteers participate in a number of outreach events every year, including national campaigns, local health fairs, festivals, testing events, and more.
These events are a great way to get BCAP’s message out into the broader community and to partner with other agencies that are invested in reducing the transmission of HIV.
Through our Speaker's Bureau, trained volunteers and staff offer free presentations to classrooms, community-based organizations and church groups. Presenters provide updated information about HIV and talk about living with HIV.
An HIV 101 presentation covers the definitions of HIV and AIDS, as well as provides scientifically-based and medically-accurate information about HIV transmission, prevention, testing, and treatment. A Positive Perspectives presentation includes a person living with HIV who shares their story.
Want to schedule a presentation or interested in having BCAP participate at your next event?
