On Wednesday, February 7, 2018, the Daily Camera published a letter to the editor, written by Boulder County AIDS Project’s (BCAP) Prevention Director, Frank O’Caña. The letter was submitted in response to an article published in the Daily Camera at the beginning of January, titled “Usage remains low for pill that can prevent HIV infection,” by David Crary of the Associated Press (AP). O’Caña talks about the HIV services provided at BCAP, financial assistance for PrEP in Colorado, and resources for accessing PrEP. He also mentions PROUD TO BE PREPPED, a statewide campaign released by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s (CDPHE) to generate more awareness and understanding about PrEP and how to access local resources.
